We exist because arts organizations
deserve better than
generic advice.

Harmonic Partners is a fundraising strategy consultancy built exclusively for arts nonprofits. We help organizations of every size build the infrastructure to raise more money, retain more donors, and stop relying on volunteer heroics to keep the lights on.

OUR STORY

Born from a simple frustration.

After two decades working in nonprofit fundraising and leadership, one thing became impossible to ignore: arts organizations were consistently underserved by the fundraising consulting industry. The advice they received — when they could afford any at all — was built for hospitals, universities, and large social service agencies. It didn't account for volunteer boards that turn over every few years. It didn't account for grant dependency. It didn't account for the reality that most arts nonprofits are running on passion and a shoestring budget.

Harmonic Partners was founded to close that gap. Not with watered-down versions of what works for bigger institutions, but with a purpose-built approach that starts from the realities arts organizations actually face.

The arts community doesn't lack generosity. It lacks the fundraising infrastructure to capture and sustain it.

We work with performing arts organizations, arts nonprofits, and booster clubs across the country — from community theaters and youth ensembles to established cultural institutions. Our Catalyst Framework gives every client a structured path from wherever they are today to a fundraising operation that can sustain their mission for years to come.

We believe professional fundraising guidance shouldn't be reserved for organizations with six-figure development budgets. If your work matters to your community, you deserve a real strategy — not a template.

LEADERSHIP

Meet Jarel Loveless.

Founder & Principal Consultant

Jarel brings 20 years of nonprofit fundraising and leadership experience to every Harmonic Partners engagement. His career has spanned institutional advancement, development strategy, and organizational leadership — all rooted in a deep commitment to the nonprofit community. Before founding Harmonic Partners, Jarel held leadership roles at Washington University in St. Louis and Huron Consulting Group, working with more than 75 nonprofits around the world. Across his career, his teams have raised over $280 million and his consulting clients have held fundraising goals ranging from $20,000 to $8 billion.

Jarel's perspective is shaped by having sat on every side of the table — as a fundraiser, a board member, a consultant, and a volunteer. He currently serves on the board of the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, one of the premier competitive performing arts ensembles in the country, and supports a range of nonprofits through pro bono work. As a former performing musician, he brings deep connections and firsthand insight into the unique challenges facing performing arts organizations, allowing him to develop strategies that resonate with both institutions and their donors.

That range of experience is what allows Harmonic Partners to meet clients where they are, whether they're a parent-run booster club raising their first $10,000 or an established nonprofit building a multi-year development plan.

WHAT DRIVES US

Our values aren't decorative.

Accessibility

Professional fundraising guidance should be within reach for organizations of all sizes — not just the ones with six-figure budgets and full-time development staff.

Empowerment

We don't create dependency. We build your team's capacity to fundraise confidently on their own — installing skills and systems, not just delivering reports.

Harmony

Your fundraising strategy should amplify your mission, not compete with it. We design financial infrastructure that works in concert with the art you create.

Integrity

Trust is the currency of the nonprofit sector. We uphold the highest ethical standards in every donor relationship, financial recommendation, and strategic decision.

Let's talk about where you are — and where you could be.
